Anyone know of any hair masks using olive oil?

I remember one where you apply the olive oil to the hair, then wrap it in cling film and then a warm towel. Leave for a while and then shampoo and condition as usual. I want to try this, but want to hear other suggestions also.Anyone know of any hair masks using olive oil?
Olive oil is great for this - it doesn't take ages to wash out, though you might need two shampoos rather than one.

You don't actually need to use olive oil. All sorts of culinary oils work. Cheaper options like grapeseed oil or sunflower oil have exactly the same effect. You can add a few drops of lavender and rosemary essential oil if you like - these smell lovely and some people think that they are good for the hair. Most professional hair oils you can buy are just sunflower oil with lavender and rosemary shoved in.

Almond oil is nice, too, but more expensive. You can always add some of it to a cheaper oil if you want the nice smell.

If you can get hold of it and you have very dry hair, coconut oil is excellent. Available in Indian grocers and big supermarkets.

Some people mix a raw egg yolk with olive oil for a hair mask. This is great for your hair, but a word of warning. Wash it out with *cold* water. Otherwise you'll end up with scrambled eggs in your hair!

Good luck!Anyone know of any hair masks using olive oil?

Jojaba oil is much better to use. Olive oil would take forever to wash out.
