Why do they call it extra-virgin olive oil?

To get olive oil, they crush the olives with a big heavy object. The best oil comes out of the first ';pressing';. That's what they call ';extra-virgin olive oil.'; A big heavy object crushes the olives once, and only once. Then all that oil is collected and removed. It can be bottled and labeled as ';extra-virgin olive oil'; now.

After that, they will re-crush the olives several more times. That oil will be collected and called ';virgin olive oil';.

After that, they take the olive pulp and use chemicals to extract the rest of the oil from the olives. Once they use chemicals to start extracting the oil, it can't be called ';virgin'; anymore.

So in summation, if the oil is taken out without the use of chemicals, it can be called ';virgin';. And only the oil that comes from the very first pressing of olives can be called ';extra-virgin';.Why do they call it extra-virgin olive oil?
If you are a virgin you need to put some of this oil before having sex for the first time. That's why.Why do they call it extra-virgin olive oil?
Because it is the first pressing of the olives and is the purest and strongest tasting. Subsequent pressings produce oil that is of a lower quality.
Because it's only been pressed once.
