Will eating olive oil make me gain weight?

I have been putting it on my sandwiches but am worried about the fat in it...although I know it is a good fat, will it make me gain weight? Will eating olive oil make me gain weight?
I honestly would not worry about it in a sandwhich. Especially as it is replacing something much worse.

To find much more information on the health benefits see the link. Will eating olive oil make me gain weight?
There is not one particular food that makes you gain weight. It is about your total caloric intake- about striking that proper balance between energy intake vs energy expenditure. I'm sure you've heard of Atkins, right? SOME people on this diet eat bacon and steaks all the time and still lose weight? It's because they've cut calories by eliminating food groups. Even though the foods they are eating are high in fat, they still shed pounds.

Now, too much of anything is not good for you. So here is what I'd recommend: go to mypyramid.gov. They can, based on your information (age, sex, weight, height, activity level) tell you how many calories you need and how much of each food group (including healthy fats like olive oil) you should have on a daily basis. It doesn't have to be followed to the letter, of course, but it can let you know if you are eating too much.
Don't worry about gaining weight. It's the good oil. Although, if you want an even better oil, use pure organic coconut oil. It will make you loose weight and is the most wonderful oil. Advise from Hawaii.
i heard that olive oil's healthy bcoz it's the good kind of fat, i even heard that it's healthy to drink half a cup of it at night. so just keep doing what you're doing
In proportion, olive oil is great for you. But if you over-do it, yes it qill make you gain weight. But the amount your using shouldn't make you gain weight
Only if you are drinking it by the gallons. Olive oil has the good fat in it and it terribly good for you.
