Would the snicker-doodle cookies taste okay if i use olive oil for the oil in the recipe ?

the recipe calls for oil.... but does not say which kind. HELP!Would the snicker-doodle cookies taste okay if i use olive oil for the oil in the recipe ?
I would use about anything other than olive oil. Vegetable oil would be Ideal. Snikkerdoodles are a type of sugar cookies that have a very light flavor. Using olive oil would definitely impact there delicate taste.Would the snicker-doodle cookies taste okay if i use olive oil for the oil in the recipe ?
Well olive oil would definitely work. As far as taste goes, probably not the best flavor to use. If you have no butter/other oil/crisco and you REALLY want some snickerdoodle, I would say go for it. Cinnamon and sugar will hopefully overpower the olive oil. Also, if you have the extra light in color/flavor olive oil you probably wont notice the difference. If you're not trying to win awards, then I wouldn't worry about it.
no, that wouldn't work olive oil has a very strong flavor and would overpower the flavor of the cookie. not good. try canola oil or vegetable oil or even peanut oil, but not olive oil. also crisco or butter might work depending. sometimes applesauce can be used instead of oil.
