I get extra virgin olive oil imported from Italy at my local Armenian store. It's cheaper there. If you have Jon's market near you, they also have olive oil for a lot less.

I usually have a bottle of extra virgin for cooking, and another of lesser quality for medicinal purposes. Olive oil is great for dry skin, hair conditioner, chapped lips - it even works for female dryness. What is your favorite olive oil to cook with at home?
/\ Rachel Ray and anyone who says EVOO, thinking themselves clever need to die.

seriously....why the hell would you use the stupid acronym if you're going to say the whole name anyway? It's quicker to just say 'extra virgin olive oil' than to say 'EVOO - extra virgin olive oil'

Even if you didn't say extra virgin olive oil after saying EVOO, you are only saving yourself 3 syllables.

STOP THE MADNESS!!!1!

________

ok, sorry for the rant....I buy olive oil in bulk, only extra virgin olive oil, and I also mix some with canola oil for frying, about 1 part olive oil to 2 or 3 parts canola oil (gives it a better flavor, without being all insanely overpowering like extra virgin olive oil is on it's own when frying.)
I like Bariani (from California) or Columela olive oils (among others). Extra virgin doesn't mean anything in terms of taste. You can have good extra virgin or bland extra virgin. I prefer good olive oil. Period. If you don't have a shop nearby that lets you taste the olive oils before you buy, then shop online, but check recommendations first.
